I don't know if this helped. I took this picture with a little flashlight yesterday before the lights turned off.

It's also hard to take a picture of it when the frogspawn tentacles are always in the way. So I have to wait for the right moment to take a picture of it.

I hope this picture is better. Took it last night after the lights went out. If it is sponges, are they good or bad? How would I get rid of them if they are a problem?

Sponge. You could take it out and peel them off but should not cause a problem. If they grow out of control and interfere with the polyp then they may irritate it but that is a low possibility.

Fingers (always wear gloves) or forceps, but they are harmless. If they grow out of control, consider "pruning".

They are actually thought of as beneficial. You could surgically remove them from the coral keeping them under water and transfer them to a darker place in the sump if you have one. They can die if exposed to air, though typically this type of sponge doesnt seem to die off like other sponges do when exposed to air.
