I was doing my routine water change today and I noticed this. What in the world is it?

Asteria starfish I believe sure someone else will chime in. Some variations munch on corals I hear.

+1. Some can and will eat corals. They will reproduce pretty quickly in the home aquarium by dropping a leg. I keep them in my tank.
