Not entirely sure I follow. Coralline algae is magenta/pink.

I’m also not sure I follow… most people are happy when coralline algae grows…? Are you just worried because it’s green?

The snail had a lot of green coralline algae on it's shell. Now the shell is white. What is the cause of this. My calcium level is 440ppm. thanks all

Another snail could have eaten the coralline, or the snail was buried for a few days and the algae bleached.

yeah, these cerith snails like to bury themselves in the substrate.

My algae bleaches in blotches now and then and I don’t know what causes this? I suspect that there is a pathogen that is active but have no clear reason for it.
