Acan lords should be called micro lords.
Micro gonis should be called bernardporas.
Pagoda cup corals are duncans, not turbinarias.
People should stop calling favias favias because after a reclassification, all favia species are in the atlantic.
We should have more verrucosa/meandrina style pocilloporas in the hobby.
Mushrooms are overrated and ugly.
Some palys are just large polyp zoanthids.
Indophyllias are just a different species of cynarina.
The only soft corals that aren't ugly are zoanthids.
Coral aquaculture places should start trying to breed corals so we don't need to rely on wild collected corals as much for new strains.
Most NPS corals are ugly. The only not ugly NPS coral is a madracis.
Aiptasia look creepy.
Tube anemones also look creepy.
Maroon clowns are ugly.
Long stalked zoanthids are ugly
Some eupyllias are actually fimbriaphyllia
Alveopora are ugly
You need to write some articles for these comments!
Pics of what is right and what is wrong, etc...
I would love to learn more! (and am too lazy to research it myself)

I honestly think the opposite of a previous post to a point (Although yes certain mushrooms are ugly, blue mushrooms & Ricordea florida aren’t)
Zoanthids are just weeds, they’re essentially just toxic weeds that are a pain to get rid of.

It’s also not a natural tank without corals overshadowing eachother (as long as the ones beneath are lowlight capable such as mushrooms and NPS)

I'm going to post up one more (though there my ghr be many one mores).

If you post up a "Help thread" and someone takes the time to type out a detailed response. The least you could do is take two seconds to type out "Thanks for your time", "Thank you for your help", etc.

Yes, and don't attack the people trying to help just because you didn't get the answer you were looking for

There is this man made rock that I have that looks exactly like live rock. Obviously it’s expensive for a premium product like that but I think man made rock has made leaps and bounds as of late.

I've found that in some cases man made rock to be more economical. I agree it's really come a long way and I don't think I'll looking back unless I get mature pest free rock at a really decent price.

Yes. These are very good points. I always try to type out a thankyou for everyone who helps me with my threads ect.. I honestly don’t think it’s enough to thank someone though

the costs. it just about feels like only a few can own certain corals when in fact they r the worlds corals for all to enjoy. not a limited few w large bank accounts. including the greed of the suppliers
On the flip side, you can have a perfectly beautiful reef tank without spending big $$ on corals. Don't get caught up in all the hype corals!

Even a tank filled to the brim with the more natural beige & tan coloured corals can be made into a master piece
It just needs to be done a certain way (The way I have planned is a bunch of tanned & beige corals, maybe a few already bleached skeletons of acros and just have the acros o top with more not so light needy in the gaps beneath the acros & other sps)

Negative space aquascapes are great for fish! Especially ones that love to hide to feel secure…said no one ever

i don’t know how unpopular of an opinion this is:

Overly fancy aquascapes for reef tanks is useless because the rock will just be covered in as much coral as physically possible by the end of it

Starting out bigger is better (If you have the space), although it’s not a very unpopular opinion
A bigger tank will both open you to more options fish + coral wise but also help stable nutrients better

Yeah I think so. Man made rock is cheaper and really does essentially the same thing. If you’ve got high nitrates, ammonia etc. that’s on you, not the rock
