What size for a 20 long?

so I'm trying to setup a frag tank. And I want t5s but one problem should I go with a 24in light or 36 in? It's 30 inches long btw!

24" for sure. It's a shallow tank. If you check some 20 long builds, plenty of t5 users utilize 24".
 
If you don't mind some light over spill I'd go with the 36 inch fixture. This way you have even spread all across the tank. The ATI 39 watt bulbs are only 34 inches.

So imo if your going for Acros and Milli, I'd go 36 in.
If LPS or Softies then the 24 in should be fine.
 
Well it's going to be a mix of sps and lps cuz i plan to sell corals locally here in Houston and I may ship but we will see!
 
If you plan on mixed then I think you'd be fine with the 24 inch. Sps in the middle and Lps on the sides.
