So I'm interested in getting vortech if it's cheap enough... What size should I get for my 29 gallon Biocube? Eventually it will be very heavy on SPS, and maybe an anemone tank one day. Is the MP10 enough dialed up all the way enough flow? I also have a maxi-jet 1200 so I'm sure it would... how much more flow is it than the Koralia 1?

It looks like the MP10 can get 4 times as powerful as the Koralia 1, and can be dialed down to half of it. If I get this is there ever any chance of me wanting more flow?

I use an MP20. Flow in all areas of the tank and it's ready to go if I upgrade to a bigger tank.

I have 1 MP10 in my 37cube, it's strong enough, I just have 2 Hydor#2's for supplement.

MP10 would be plenty, but I would go with the MP20 just because later down the road you will be able to upgrade to the MP40..

I use mp10 in my 20L
It's a little smaller than yours, but I have it set to super low !

The problem with the MP20 is the price... and I plan on running this biocube even after I upgrade to a bigger tank, as a frag tank or whatever I feel like. If I turn up the MP10 all the way will it be fine? I have one Koralia 1 in there, and the flow rate on that is 400gph. The MP10 goes up to around 1600gph.

MP10 would be nice. mp20 would be fine to just tune it down.

Alright, I think I will go with the MP10. Now to find one. I'll probably see if I can find one used. Thanks guys! I love this website.

Go on Ebay, I got mine for 185 shipped, there's one that has the OBO. You could go lower, but $185 is a for sure thing ;)

NOOOOOOO GET MP20!!!!!!!! your going to upgrade soon or in the future. At least you can upgrade from mp20-mp40w. I have a mp20 in my 28g NC and marvin had a mp40w in his 28g NC. unless your not going to upgrade get an mp20

But I'm putting the MP10 in the Biocube forever. So I'll have two tanks, MP40's in the bigger and an MP10 in the biocube. If I upgrade the MP20 and take it out of the Biocube, I have the same bulky Koralia's I have now.

mp20 is still a better choice. but i know people with mp10s and they love it. I like the mp20 in mine which is a mixed reef.

I have a MP10 in my 29g biocube and I have it set at 1/2 speed with no other additional pumps (outside of the 3rd chamber return MJ900 or 1200). I got the MP10 because of the smaller size.

Where do you have the MP10/MP20 Located in the BC? Thinking about getting one myself.... The tank is mostly SPS with a few LPS & Zoa's. Currently running an MJ1200 retrun with the return split into two with Loc-Tite tubing, tunze nano, & koralia 1....And where is the cheapest place to buy one being htat they aren't giving them away!
