What tang is this?

LFS labeled him as a spotted yellow eye but I don’t think it is, not with that tail

Looks to be the Atlantic Blue Tang, as juveniles they are solid yellow, but that doesnt last long.

He’s a bristletooth tang, fabulous substrate cleaner.
Looks just plain to me. I have the same fish.

The yellow eye Kole tang is one in this group so LFS, IMM, is partially correct.

But I see no yellow eye at all.

Still great fish.

This is a Ctenochaetus striatus, Striated Bristletooth Tang.
The body shape is completely wrong for an Acanthurus coeruleus, the body shape is much more elongated whereas coeruleus has a much rounder body shape.

Ctenochaetus striatus is a larger species of Ctenochaetus and can get to the max size of 8 inches (Potentially bigger).
