Hi Reefers!
I have one rock that has 5 really large Kenya Trees on it and they recently dropped their branches all over the tank, for the millionth time. LOL I usually pick out the little ones before they can attach to anything & take over the tank.
My question is whether there is any real market for them? And if I want to remove one of the larger ones and move it to another tank, how should I go about that? I know that leathers can release toxins in the tank, so I would take the rock they’re on out of the tank when removing them of course.
Any advice is welcome! I feel like they’re just getting to the “weed” stage.

They’re also stinging my yellow finger leather which I like a lot more than the Kenya Trees! LOL

I usually try and make a deal when I'm getting rid of my kenya trees. I will accept $2 or credit per frag BUT you must take them all. I try and keep them nicely mounted and uniform. They do sell so most of the time I can get rid of them.

Thats really good to know! I’m not trying to make a ton of money off them, but I do feel bad just throwing out a living creature.

Thats been my experience

Sell Give them away trim back or try to get some credit from a lfs.
When trimming them, can I just trim some of the branches away and mount them on small frag rocks or discs? I would assume I do not glue them to a rock or disc but just let them attach on their own?

I trim and place in sump for nitrate control
