Hi all. Can anyone advise what will eat this type of algae? The strands are thick, like gsp.

I have a one spot fox face in quarentine which I hope will eat it but my turbo snails and hermits don't touch it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

My One Spot will eating anything green. Best utility fish IMO.

That is some pretty novel looking algae I must say. Hopefully somebody will come along with an ID.

Is it real rigid and stiff? If so my guess would be very young Valonia aegagropila, a sister species to Valonia ventricosa, aka bubble algae

Blows about in the current quite freely. Would an emerald crab eat it i wonder ? Hopefully my fox face will eat it but he's not coming out of quarentine for 4 weeks and I'm concerned about my frags getting smothered!

Whoa! I am pretty sure this is a pic of bryopsis. Up close, can you see a "fern-like" structure?

That would need a VERY hungry foxface. But more likely fluconazole.
