Hi everyone! My tank is about 3 months old, been doing weekly water changes, and added fish a few weeks ago. I noticed this thick looking green algae on the rock. I haven’t changed the sponge and carbon just yet, was gonna do that today. But overall is this something I should be concerned about? Sorry the blue light makes it hard to see when taking a picture. Can post one with the light off later if needed

If possible please post pic under white light

Based current pic it looks like its the beginning of the long process of your dry rock maturing into live rock.

Water, nutrients and light = algae. It’s all very natural and you’ll always have it to some level. Too much light or nutrients can cause unwanted algae issues. Get yourself a “turkey baster” you should be cleaning your rock scape with it throughout the rest of your hobby! Enjoy!!!

And your water chemistry parameters.
I just see a new system with a very tiny greenish tint on rocks.
You’ll run into a few of these things going forward, but, if your water chemistry stays on point at all times, all will opals.
