I kill those with F-Aptasia in my main display. I would try that or just get a new egg crate.
I had about a hundred of those in my tank. I used F-aiptasia killer on them, I did about ten at a time. It killed them all with no side effects. Every now and then one pops up and I use do the same.

I found to control and get rid of palys use Aiptasia X. They will close and it and eventually after some house keeping will die out. A couple may come back but easy to retreat
I did not want to remove the rockwork. Besides its safer toxic wise than handling.

I have a semi-infestation of common palys in my frag tank. They're growing under and on the eggcrate rack and I think they're annoying my frags.

What fish or invertibrate will eat them and not bother SPS frags? (if any)
Kalk paste worked really well on my palys

Well, I just got back from Lowe's with a new sheet of eggcrate. I'll change it out tomorrow or Thursday, or this weekend, or next week one day, or at any rate before Halloween.
