So I recently got a few frags from this guy and I noticed after I picked it up that it had this little piece of tissue missing. I dipped it in coral revive for a 7-8 minutes before putting it in my tank. It's only been a day so I can't tell if it's getting worse or better. It has encrusted over almost the whole frag plug. But I'm wondering if the tissue starts to get worse, can I just fresh cut the top off and dip again ? To totally remove the bad tissue loss? Or should I wait to see if it's going to survive? I believe it's a tri color mili acro btw. Pink/green/blue.

Have you checked water chemistry to rule that out?
Yes you can frag off the piece but you will run into the same issue if water chemistry if the problem.
Please list Ca/Alk/Mag is able.
The near by corals look great so it could just be tissue damage related to transport, not uncommon.

It was damaged like that before I put it in my tank. And so I dipped it in revive before putting it into my tank. And my water is great right now. Just checked yesterday.

Its fine, i cant even tell you how many acros i damage, and that i bring home that get scraped up. Give it like 4 5 days, if the tissue starts recieding then i would worry. How the tank doing?

I know, I've been slowly raising it
I am at 1320 mg and I need to be at 1475 compared to my Ca 485. I dropping 870 ml of @Randy Holmes-Farley 2 part recipe and not looking back:). I am trying to balance out the Ca and Mg so that my dosing goes back to normal with the balling method. I got my alk under control which was running high. it always something:)

So, it's got pine oil and lemon oil in it. I suppose those have some sort of beneficial properties, but mostly they're used in household cleaners. In the past when I've had issues, I would use Lugol's or some other iodine-based dip.
