Other hobbies used to be shooting with the New York State Flintlock Team, building flintlock longrifles, playing guitar in country bands when country was still country. I was voted into the New York State Country Music Hall of Fame in 2010. I also like to do sum big game hunting.

It was Diving. Got Bent... Snowboarding by far My fav hobby. I live in South Florida though. Vaca’s to The slopes put a hurtin on my Reefs so can only dip out once or twice a season.

Besides reef keeping, opensource software and hardware is my other hobby. It used to be mostly software, but in the past three/four years I have got more and more involved in the hardware/electronics side of things also. In my free time, when I am not looking at or taking care of my tanks I tinker with opensource sprinklers, model railroad controller, reef controller, weather station etc.

2. Tournament bass fishing
3. I also have property I manage for wildlife habitat which in a weird way is a lot like reefing.
4. Reefing.

If I lived anywhere near an ocean I would love sport fishing. The best I have is Salmon in Lake Michigan.

Funny I’m right in one of the steelhead Mecca’s. My property is a couple miles from a world famous stretch of flies only river and I only fly fish a couple time a year.
