Looking to buy a ready to order 6 foot peninsula. What I see that’s in stock ready to ship are a Waterbox 7225 or innovative marine 200 EXT. thoughts on those? Which would you buy? The 200 ext is 4k right now on sale.

I'm setting up a new waterbox now. It's an LX 330.7. I will say I'm Impressed with the quality of the tank and stand. I have no experience with IM. WB support has been very quick to respond to all questions I've emailed and ask.

A brief look at the two has me leaning toward the IM. I don't see euro bracing on the WB? Just the fact that the IM is 30" deep vs 25 on the WB would be the deciding factor for me. I still have my 72x24x24 tank set up and the new tank in the same room. The 330.7 is 84x30x25. The difference between 24 deep and 30 is HUGE and is going to make aquascaping so much easier. The fact that the IM is a little shorter than the WB is another plus for me. It would make working inside the tank so much easier. My vote is for IM based on the size. The price saving is also a plus and it looks like the IM comes with a return pump included.

I would do the ext 200. I have the 170 and the 30" depth is really nice. All my other past tanks have been 24".
Both displays hold around 162 gallons based on internal dims.
The 200g number includes the volume of the sump depending on the level you run it at.

I think they are both excellent tanks. I would go with the IM now simply because of the 50% off in-stock and 40% off custom order sale they have going on for this tank.

I would go with the IM for the main reason if no overhanging panels of glass when sitting on the stand
How do they have the doors flush with the tank if there isn't an overhang? Just curious because I'll admit looking at that 3/4" 7ft pane of glass hanging out there on my new 330.7 is not confidence inspiring. I have not seen an IM setup in person.

96x24x30 no way. 94x30x24 heck ya. Nothing to be gained by the extra height except making the tank harder to work in. The extra depth makes a huge difference. More room to scape and more swim room. Just saying ;)
Those are just examples. What size is OP looking for? No need to settle for off the shelf. Get what you want exactly the way you want it.

The IM sits perfectly on the stand.
Doors are nice but their is a noticable gap on some panels.
The 2 side doors are nice.
Make sure you shim the bottom crossbars. The stand is rock solid when shimmed correctly.
Never saw a waterbox. Anyone have a pic of the glass overhang?
The only thing that I dont like is the overflow section of the sump. Not sure why they made it so small.

Don’t know the Brand, but the Nicest Peninsula I saw was bullet shaped. The Viewing area had no seams or corners. Beautiful Cabinet with a Tall Canopy, access doors. Sump was in Cabinet. Found a Picture of the Aquarium I saw.

I can't speak for the OP. I looked at your tanks as well as other customs before I went with the WB. I compromised because the WB overall height is more than I wanted. At the end of the day I just didn't want to have to do all of the plumbing and such. I have done it but I'm older now and don't get around like I used to.
I agree tho custom is the only way to go if you have specific wants and do not want to compromise.

Sweet! To bad they don't make a 7ft tank. That's why I skipped them in my research.

Glad to hear this. We are going back and adding our custom business again. Stopped taking custom work about 8 months ago but now have more capacity. And agree with you that most hobbyists want it all preconfigured.

Inset doors are easy

I’m looking at Red Sea g2+ peninsula. But heard bad stories of older Red Sea’s. Never heard of IM, is that American?
