Just added my 2 clownfish after getting the tank up and running. What fish next? Only future plans are a flame angle (biota if ever available), biota yellow tang, and white tail bristletooth tang. Will wait a few more weeks before stocking another fish but looking for opinions on next so can start making sure it’s available. My clowns are still fresh from local breeder and only 1/2-5/8”. Doing just fine though tonight I turned on 1 of the DMP-40s @ 30% random flow. They’re starting to adjust to more flow thankfully because when first added seemed they could barely swim in the current. Came from breeder tank with just a sponge filter. They’re just sticking to the top right corner behind return outlet currently.

Tanks a 60 breeder. So 4’ long. Tanks new so probably to early for any utilitarian fish. Looking to up the bioload to start stocking the macro’s/refugium.

:( My bad didn’t mention. DT Marco rock has been seeded for 3-4 months in bin with TSB live rock. Basement sump/refugium 20L also filled with TSB live rock and sand. I’m struggling to keep numbers from crashing still. These clowns too small to feed heavy so needing more bioload otherwise will have to start dosing.

For what its worth, I just got a sohal, purple tang and a bristletooth a few weeks ago for my 300 gallon. That white tail is one AH!! She likes to chase other fish around and is just not nice. Thought the sohal would be a problem but nope its the bristletooth!! Not saying dont get one but I was not expecting mine to be like that considering the temperament of both the purple and sohal but every fish is different! But for sure wait until it cycles more. I honestly think you should do one or the other for tangs with a 60 gallon though. My two cents

Agree every fish is a crab shoot. I’ve had dwarf angles peaceful in other tanks and others are just murderers. Had good luck with mirror trick and time out isolation. Current tank also has enough sump size to serve as a penalty box. But agree 2 tangs is a lot. But it’s just an idea and will need a lot of bioload for the water volume and display refugium. Sure could just dose to keep up as well. Started this tank differently than any other and surprised at how well it’s doing so far/fingers crossed. The Marco’s rock is already got 1-2” spots of pink coralline growing. Wasn’t convinced but it won’t come off unless scraping with a dental pick. A lot of my TBS rock is covered in pink coralline. Seeding for months was definitely worth it.

I’ve got 5 huge nassarius snails (biggest I’ve seen) keeping the sand bed spotless and 5 small blue leg crabs picking at whatever on rocks. Crazy enough some patches of coralline popping on the rock but also a few small patches of micro brown algae. Rather it’s Dino’s or Diatoms not sure yet. Need to get microscope. But crabs sure keeping it to almost nothing this whole week. So not much of any leftover algae or microfauna in sand to consume yet id bet. So still unsure of more CUC. Limits choices. That could change tomorrow though as we all know.

Also got some small Pom Pom going. I find it great to visually check nutrient levels.

In that case, soft corals and small fish
:beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes: SPS/Acro tank. Might throw some softies in the 20L display macro tank though. With future tang probably can’t mix any algae eating blenny’s though. Food competition probably cause havoc. Already pushing luck with a dwarf angle/tang in future.

If it were me I would only put the dwarf angel, I wouldnt even put a tang in there, I didnt see that you wanted a dwarf angel too. Those are better fish than a tang for your tank size
