So I was browsing KP Aquatic's site to see what was in stock and I came across these guys, white flame scallops! They're a different variant of the normal flame scallops but 100x prettier (imo). Seriously considering one if they get more in stock since I had pretty good success with my 1st (and only) one for a couple months until the tank broke. Here's a couple pics I found on Google, these are stunning!

Here are the money shots of mine, have it since the beginning of July, in a tank that caters to filter feeders though

Sadly at the back of the tank nowadays, maybe I'll have to clean the pumps again to coax it back to the front

Love mine too, just wish they survived a little longer in captivity...but its my understanding that they don't live that much longer in the wild either. So beautiful though.

Ooooo, those are super cool. My flame refuses to stay out. It doesn’t seem to like the light, either. It flapped around for a few days before finally settling inside the only fake cave in the entire tank. Just stays in there now, hanging straight down from the ceiling like a wavy red chandelier...

(Prior to it going into hiding.)

My electric flame is still living, but everyone tells me that they don't usually live past 6 or 8 months. It's my first one so we'll see what happens. He's been in my tank for about a month now. Maybe somebody with more experience can tell us better. I love them so much though!!!

Well I'm about to go past 11 months, and it's still looking healthy, just hiding behind the rockwork, so...

Not an electric one to be fair

Edit: one contribution in the German online marine lexicon claimed still living after 3 years for the white tentacled one, that was the reason I got mine

Got mine today as a hitchhiker on some live rock from the lfs. I wasn't sure it was reef safe. So glad it is. Interesting looking, scared me at first.
