Hello, I've noticed a translucent white substance at the bottom of my tank and in my rock. Can you tell what it might be? Images attached.

I am on day 29 of a new 20 gal tank with 2 clowns. The tank is live cycling using Seachem Prime, Stability, and API Quick Start. Below is a detailed log:
Blank or UNK means it was not measured/recorded. pH and nitrite is always measured using API Saltwater Master Test Kit (I know it's not that great). I switched to a Hanna tester for ammonia starting on the 28th and a Salifert Nitrate test on the 29th. I've been using Seachem Prime to shield my clowns from the ammonia. I haven't been able to detect nitrite or nitrate yet. Fish are acting normal. This is my first tank.

Given it's a new tank and you're dosing Stability, it's probably a bacterial growth - it will go away.

BTW, Seachem Prime does not do anything to protect against ammonia despite what it may say on the bottle.
That's been well proven to be false.

I would not be dosing anything at the moment, just let the tank settle down.

I'd advise to topoff with RODI water. You are introducing a lot of unknowns using tap water.

Thanks for the info. I'll start using distilled until I get my RO/DI system. Just ordered it today.
