SCIENTIFIC NAME - Gymnothorax meleagris

COMMON NAME - Whitemouth Moray (Comet Moray, Guineafowl Moray)

SIZE - 3.9 ft. (1.2 m)

MIN. AQUARIUM SIZE - 35 US Gal. (132 L) (Specimen only tank)

FOODS AND FEEDING - Meaty foods, Feed to satiation 2 times a week with fresh and frozen fish and crustacean flesh, squid, crab meat, scallop

REEF COMPATIBILITY - Will eat crustaceans, small fish

CAPTIVE CARE - Can be kept with other morays or fish that are too big to ingest. May fast initially and periodically throughout its life. This is usually not a cause for alarm if water conditions are good and the eel resumes eating within a few weeks.
