Who wears long gloves when working in their tank?

The idea Seems like a good idea to not have to put your bare skin in the display if you don’t need to but curious what gloves work best. Nitrile are probably not an option for me as my hands sweat profusely when I wear them and they are a bit thin, but the pvc ones that are shoulder length look like they might be too bulky to be able to handle small frags or do delicate work.

So curious what you all are wearing to work in your tanks.

I have had my hands in and out of aquariums for 40 years. I have recently started wearing gloves.. not 100% of the time, but most of the time, especially if I am doing more than just grabbing something near the top or prolonged work.

I keep quality arm length gloves as well as arm length disposable vet gloves. The vet gloves (at least the brand I purchased from amazon) are absolute garbage and every one of them leaks at the seams if you just look at them hard enough.

which ones are garbage and which ones are the vet ones?

These looked promising

Amazon product

But since they are so inexpensive, they may not be.

Bareback for me. I have the elbow length ones but I have no sense of feeling and I can’t do detailed work in the tank because if them so I don’t wear them.

I tried something similar to this before moving to the ones I linked above. My experience was the arm material folded easily and created a little pocket that water would spill out of after taking your arm out of the tank, making a mess.

I get very dry skin that cracks from saltwater. I’m a Great Lakes man, with my soft supple freshwater skin.

Mine are like long dish gloves. I found the Atlas and the Coralife a bit to limiting dexterity wise, and vet gloves seemed to leak.
