Is there a reason BSPP fittings are used without a sealing ring on some of your equipment? Particularly the 1/2" flow meters, 2 of which have recently started leaking on me after over a year in service. Some brief google research indicates that BSPP should only be used with a sealing ring which is not provided with these. In order to tighten these you have bottom them out which can start to bend the plastic if you go too far. And I did wrap them up good with plumbing tape but still no luck. I resorted to siliconing them on to prevent leaks which is ridiculous.
Anyways, this is pretty annoying. Why would you choose to use BSPP with no sealing ring over BSPT, and more importantly, why not stick with what is common here in the states, NPT (at least for the units sold in the states)!
