Why is it growing like this?

What's up with this corals growth? Is that one of those snails living in the coral?

Looks like it was a vermetid snail that the coral grew over. I've seen this with montipora quite often, it'll encrust over the snails tube :)

I think the snail is still in the tube I can see antennas lol. Can I cut it off?

chop it off, and glue it to a frag plug. The coral will grow over the tube eventually and encrust the plug. Then you can sell/swap/gift it to someone.

I have so many of these vermetid snails. I dont know what I should do at this point, I have hundreds and cutting them all off wouldnt be an options. (well I guess it would but it would take forever) Does Coral snow work?
