I do not see a leather coral.
The alkalinity is high.

When did you get the trumpet coral? It looks like it’s splitting on the left side which is a good thing. Where is it in the tank? Mine likes low light and flow. I would slowly lower your alkalinity to 7-8.5. Were you aiming for an alkalinity of 12.5?

The alk was actually wrong I had them run it again and it was 8.5 forgot to put that in the post

I think the thing most of us observed is there is no Leather/Toad Stool in the image? The image is a Candy Cane and a BTA.

Also get your PO4 up. What test kits were they using? Nitrate 20 and phos 0?

I hear ya. My bad I’m only about a year into the hobby. I’m just curious?
