Wife wants a clam....

Hey there so the title says it all. She wants a clam and I'd love to get one as well, they are pretty awesome looking from what I've seen in the store and on r2r. So my question is which would be a good choice to pick for someone who has never had one.

I have 2 ai primes on my 40.

Any information that can be shared would be very grateful! thanks!

Look at Pacific East Aquaculture they have great clams and a good video

Derasa make a great starter clam, they are easier than most to keep and typically a lot cheaper..

Tank has been up for about 3 years, alk is stable at 8.5 calc is 440-450 mag is 1350-1400 nitrates 10 phosphates are around .5 right now. Finally got the fuge up and running.

The pacific east deal is a great deal $100 for 2.3 to 3.5 inches blue maxima. Good size for the price and very pretty. Can’t best the deal!

My favorite is the maxima and I think it's the smallest. Derasa and squamosa have the rep of being the easiest. Honestly I wouldn't do it in a 40. Why not you ask because your dosing will look like this.

I go to Pacific East since they are by my house. I can attest that they are phenomenal and very very clean and professional.

I had one mistake on one order once and they took care of it very quickly.

You can expect an amazing clam from them.
