Will my coral still live/grow please help

My emerald crab ate my new discosoma blue mushroom coral I got he was about the size of a dime and I noticed there’s still half of the coral left attached to the rock please let me know if it won’t die and it will still grow thank you/here’s pictures

Thank you and oh he’s out my tank I had a feeling something was gonna happen cause people said story’s about the same thing and how they are not reef safe but I was just gonna watch him and as soon as I add coral caught him ripping it and eating it just glad he went for that instead of my new candy cane

Give it 10 to 15 days and that mushroom will look good as new.

When getting a emerald crab you must make sure it’s a female, males eat coral

I think your mushroom will be fine. I have cut them out of my tank, accidentally leaving the smallest lump of flesh, that has grown back into a full mushroom. They are actually pretty difficult to kill. Not impossible, but difficult.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
