It fell in the sand and my shrimp threw sand on it while I was at work. I got home and saw it so I put it back on the rock but it’s not the same anymore (pictures are a before and after falling into the sand)

If it wasn't there long, it should be fine. It might take a few days as it will be very angry, but assuming no one was snacking while it was down in the sand bed, it should make a full recovery. Even if something was chewing on it, it will take longer but heal up most likely and continue growing. They're pretty resilient corals.
