The snails are eating my squamosa clam I'm not sure what happened the clam was fine yesterday should I remove the clam or wait til the lights come on to see if it's completely gone

Come to think of it i did move it to that new spot 2 days ago after an Anemone moved close to it and I didn't want it to get stung so It's directly under the halide could that have killed it?

Yeah, that thing is dead as a rock I’m afraid.
To be honest clams are just very fragile and finicky animals so who knows why it decided to pack it in.
In my opinion clams today are a heck of. Lot more fragile than they seemed to be 10+ years ago.

Chances are, the clam was already dying and the snails dove in. They are susceptable to pyramid snails which looks like those pictured below.
If not pyramid, these clams rarely do well in tanks with:
Temperature above 80
Ph below 8.1
Salinity higher than 1.025
High alk levels+

Was the foot attached to anything when you moved it?

no the foot wasn't attached to anything i had it sitting on top of the sand since i got it i just moved it over with my grabber i cant reach down to the bottom of the tank so i got this grabber i was gonna try and dig it down further so it could attach to piece of rock or the bottom of the tank too late now

Yeah, once the mantle recedes into the shell it's a goner.

I thought, and may be wrong, a six line or similar wrasse eats those snails. Is that correct or even close?

No. Pyramids feed at night when they know most predators are sleeping persay.
Large numbers of blue leg hermits may eat the snails as well as Melanurus, coris, and emerald wrasses
