the mdf will only be on the top and the tank is rimless so it should cover the entire board . id hate to buy a new sheet of birch my other option is to use two seperate pieces . could that work ? i could glue them together or is that a bad idea ?

He’s where I’m at now this is a roofing product called mule hide silicone coating it’s 98% solid and rolls on easy for a nice even rubberized coat I only used less then half a quart I plan on using more in the underside of the top board . Next I’m going to try to make a controller box out of pvc trim boards glued together for a seem less look
