I have an exciting opportunity to travel to Hawaii early next year. This will be a work trip but I plan to take some extra time off to sight-see. We will be working in Honolulu. Any recommendations on must-see attractions or activities?

Sun screen... Me and my family were moving around like lobsters. That ABC store and the Aloae was the last resort.

The punch bowl, big wiamea, sunset beach, bonsai pipe, the ARIZONA, diamond head, the ala moana hotel, the pineapple plantation, the royal house, the aquarium, hananama bay, lol sea world, the Polynesian cultule center and a beer... Whew. Duck dive howly... ;)

I went as a kid 25-30years ago and it was beautiful. Especially if you can't get off shore on a boat. Also the Waikiki aquarium is cool! They had tank raised mahi-mahi years ago that blew my mind they also have or had a lot of small tank displays or fish you do t see to often in public aquariums.

Me too... I think I went in 92 or 93. Give me a sec and I'll see if I can take a picture of the picture.

LOL! I'll definitely pack extra sunscreen. Appreciate the potential itinerary, sounds like everything there is probably awesome.

I recently did the "behind the scenes" tour at the Waikiki aquarium. I think it is only on thursday afternoons, but it was sooooooooooo cool.

The Bishop Museum (which I don't see that anyone else has mentioned yet) and of course the Waikiki Aquarium as others have said.

Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona would be a must-see for me. When I get there, I will cry.

I've had the chance to visit Hickam where there are buildings with bullet holes in them from the Pearl Harbor attack. It definitely hits home...
