I agree with this, however short term (1 year or so) you could have the smaller fairies or leopards, I recommend against flashers - They dash into things in smaller tanks.Imo you have not alot of choices there... Pink streaked or possum are almost the only wrasses you can keep in such a tank long term I'd say.
I thought about a leopard but they get 5 inches and wrasses from what ive experienced roam the tank so its not fair. I dont want to be cruel im just wondering if there are any alternatives.I agree with this, however short term (1 year or so) you could have the smaller fairies or leopards, I recommend against flashers - They dash into things in smaller tanks.

I dont actually have the flasher anymore, i bought him at adult or terminal phase and died. He was 4 inches and yea did use a lot of the tank but mostly chilled infront of the wavemaker.I would re-home the flasher. They are small but very active swimmers that will use every inch of a 3-4 foot tank. Possum wrasse or pink streaked are really the only responsible options in this size tank. They are cool little fish though!
Cryptic sixline*6 line and possum wrasse are probably your only options
Your right. I personally think the possum wrasse would be fine but i didn't think of the regular 6 lineCryptic sixline*
the regular six line (Or even any of the pseudocheilinus wrasses) wouldn’t do well unless there was an insane amount of rockwork in there stopping aggression
Would anyone say that there is one wrasse that is better then the other? This is between the possum and pink streak.Your right. I personally think the possum wrasse would be fine but i didn't think of the regular 6 line
My pink streak is an excellent pest eaterWould anyone say that there is one wrasse that is better then the other? This is between the possum and pink streak.
I can get both wrasses very easily at my lfs. They have at least 2 everytime.Pink streak are a bit more bold imo… hard to find though.
Are they quite fascinating to watch? My pink streak is an excellent pest eater
The possum wrasse has a weird body shape as well as colouration. The possum wrasse will hide all day but is a cute fish
Actually, they only do that if more aggressive/larger fish are in the tank is what I find! The possum wrasse will hide all day but is a cute fish
I mean i have a 10 gallon with my pair of clowns in, maybe i could get a possum and pink streak and have one in each tank?Actually, they only do that if more aggressive/larger fish are in the tank is what I find!
