How do yall get these stunning pictures of your wrasses??? My lunar wrasse (named Bullet cause he just shoots like a bullet all over my tank) is so pretty but so hard to get a picture of!

@Slocke @i cant think ??

I get like good shots of him but he is almost always blurry! The one with Loki was an accident but it shows his face. I also can get a distance picture of him when he and my tomato clown do this weird sitting on each other thing bur I cant get close because he moves.

Best pics i get with my phone is when I press the phone right up against the glass then I can step back and watch the screen for a fish to swim in the field of view.

I use a good telephoto lens with a low/quick shutter speed. Simple as that. Its not your skill, its the camera you use and some knowledge on how to use it.

Thats the blurry one I have of him! He is jusr so fasr Im wondering if the shutter is too slow to get him

I feed mine by hand, so they've become accustomed to having me there and come right to the glass. I still don't take great photos because 1) phone camera, 2) they don't like the phone when I pull it out. But if I wait long enough with the phone to my chest pointed in their direction they will start hovering near the glass again begging for food.

Focus your camera on one fish for long enough, they slow down and pose for you eventually. I often spend about 50 minutes on one fish before it poses for me, and that’s 50 minutes for one good shot too.

So beautiful! Sadly I only have an Iphone 15 camera. And an old black and white but I need film for it 😂
