The gramma was hiding for a week before death, the clown looked like it had brook, (whole slime hanging off its body, & im not sure about blenny. These fish also died after I added a skimmer but I’m thinking that’s just coincidence? & no extra aeration

It could be Brooklynella, all of those fish can get that. Tough to cure though - formalin works best, but it is toxic to people and hard to source. Ruby Reef Rally Pro sometimes works, but in cases where fish have already died from the disease, it often just isn't strong enough to stop the infection.

Also aeration probably went down since I went from socks to now filter fleece & been seeing small particles in the water since adding skimmer which I don’t think are microbubbles

I plan to turn in my last 2 fish to a lfs and run my tank fish less for 60 days with only hermits snails and corals. Would that rid the tank of all the fish parasites/disease or do they stick on the corals and inverts?

Yes, that will clear a tank of ich, velvet, brooklynella or flukes. Trouble is, when you buy new fish, they could bring new disease in unless you quarantine them, or unless they are quarantined for you.

It can happen. The biggest risk is getting corals from a tank with sick fish in it. I tell the story of one LFS that would put sick fish in their coral systems to “cure them” since the conditions in those systems was better than their fish systems. I can’t fathom how many customer’s tank’s got infected from them buying corals out of them - ugh.

I hold new corals that came from systems with fish in them separate for 30 to 45 days.
