I just got a 55 gallon tank to upgrade my feeder system. I remember when I thought that was a big tank.
Time to build a stand. I have everything but the bolts in the garage I think.

I am a somewhat simple person. I meant no more than what I said. I had a plan for my saltwater system and it is complete. I don't intend to add anything else to it. This is a build thread for that system.

The salt fish have to eat and I have some freshwater shrimp coming next week
and to be fair I am taking down a tank and putting a bigger one up. My guppies are doing pretty well.

The new feeder tank is coming along. Shrimp coming from Ebay tomorrow.

I hope to make a guppy colony big enough to take 6-8 out every other day. It will also allow me to buy feeder shrimp in larger amounts which makes them much cheaper. I will also be able to use both saltwater or freshwater shrimp since there seems to some seasonal variation to what you can get.

I vigorously squeezed my sponge filter into the tank to start it. Once the temp comes up I will add some guppies from the other tank.
I put planted tank substrate in but nothing is going to grow under this light.

The whole thing is completely amazing.

There was some skill involved too but God helps those that help themselves.

Your whole system is amazing. I'm glad you were able to avert a major crisis.

All the stuff in the fish room is doing what it is supposed to do. The AWC/ATO is working.

and there are guppies in the new tank.

I don't know why I didn't think of this before.

My fish are being raised organically.

Well I might have to eat them someday. Who knows what the future will bring. I should put a little sticker on the fish.

It didn't take long for him to figure out where the food comes from.

Reef Pro Angel diet
All the frozen stuff goes into glasses, gets a squirt of Selcon and then I add tank water to defrost it.

I have no pictures of this guy. He is dark and never holds still

When you do something you always wanted to do and it turns out well. These guys get along great and even take turns eating the shrimp when I put them in.

I was changing my filter socks this morning.
There was a stone crab in one of them. I have no ideas how he got up there from the sump.

The big one eats his legs.
He is supposed to look like this

Might as well take some pics. I just cleaned the glass.

I took the shade off to finish it. I may make another one. It needs to be about 97 inches long and the 8 foot long wood wouldn't stretch a bit.

Jill comes down and says by. I ask where she is going, and she rolls her eyes at me and says "to work".
