I’ve had my 36 gallon reef tank set up for 8months now, and barely have 2 clowns and a fairy wrasse and quite a bit of corals and 3 anemones, I want to get more stuff but online is expensive with 40$ deliveries on top of a 30$ fish/shrimp, 2jokes 1 question ……
1.where do you work?!
2.Are y’all hiring?!
3. lol but did y’all buy your 125gallon+ new, and how much should one cost…(tank and stand with lids)

Since you asked I'm a automotive technician, not hiring, lol
I got 400 gallon acrylic tank that I got used for 50% cost of what new one did.
If you complaining about finances with 36g tank, then definitely don't go any bigger then that. Until you know you can afford to go bigger.

Well.. the cost of the 125g tank is the small part. It is the huge electric bill, water changes, dosing, test kits, and the sheer amount of food fish can eat that will send you do the poor house.

Ofc the cost of rock and sand to fill it isn’t that small either.

And gosh help you if you get a disease that wipes out 100s of dollars of fish in such a tank.

Ooofy.

My 150g I think was like 4-5 grand just for the tank and stand. Lights and skimmer.. oof.. let’s not think about it!
