Yellow Coris Wrasse, 2 dead.

I bought two Coris Wrasse over the course of 2 weeks. The first one was very small so I could understand some what why he died. My issue is the second one was a pretty sizable fish. He ended up dead in the tank 3-4 days after acclimation.

I ether have an issue with the sand height or maybe some tank mates?

Sand is currently about 1 inch deep.
Current tank mates, 2 prem snowflake clowns, 2 springer damsels, skunk shrimp, flametail blenny, 10 hermits, a few nassarius snails.

I have a 135G tank so I doubt room is the matter.

So you did not qt this guy? Hard to know why he died without a necropsy or qt. These guys can be tricky at times. Sorry for your loss. Maybe try to find one that is acclimated to aquarium life a while (reefer nearby, order special, have hold at lfs, etc).

I just had the same issue. Ether it was my sand bed mine is 1 1/2” deep and he got nocked out or internal parasites. If you see white stringy poop start treatment. I did.

Interesting, I saw him disappear for 2 days, saw most people stated this can be normal when introduced in a new tank.

It is pretty normal for them to disappear a while when introduced.

I forgot to mention I have a RBTA that about 3-4 inches, could he be possible issue for stinging?

Possibly, but most healthy fish instinctively know to avoid anemones.
