I have a couple of plans.
Fill my tank with coral and grow them out.
Sell frag packs locally and on r2r.
Wanted to start a 40 gallon breeder

  • Constructing a 2nd floor with a fish room in 2019.
  • Changing my display tank to the new fish room
  • Adding an frag tank with the same sump in that room
For sure I will start my built thread this time....

Yes sir!, indeed @revhtree - I do have some big plans for 2019!! I am about to start my new Build thread for a new Tank build. I have almost all of my Equipment except 2 last piece to finally complete this special design that I have been working on since 2016. I will be ordering my CL-44 sump from Synergy tomorrow w/10-gallon Matching ATO Resivour and 2 EcoTech Marine MP40QWD's from @Bulk Reef Supply Also, going to be running a 20'' Synergy External Overflow box since this time around I want a more minimalist style SPS dominate type tank. ***FLSharksvictims SCA Custom Rimless SCA-150 build*** coming soon.

*** Quick peek at some of the Equipment I have chosen for my new build***

My Sump will not have a Refugium but will be the same color and the same the 10-gallon matching ATO reservoir!

Somehow get my new tank from the garage down to the basement. Set said tank on newly assembled 80/20 stand. Figure out what the tank is going to sit on atop of the stand. If I’m really ambitious skin the stand. Lastly, would be wise to move my water storage/mixing station down as well. Guess that means I need to plumb those storage bins.

In 2018 I went from a 65 gallon mixed reef (only 5 Acros) tank with a 15 gal cheato sump, HOB skimmer, and kalkwasser to the 565 gallon system I currently have. I set up my LLC too. My acros are growing crazy.

2019 will have some challenges. We are building a new house. The bad is moving my system. Not fun. The good is that I will have a fish room in the new house and I will be putting in underground piping and conduit for the 2020 1,500 gallon tank build. Once moved I do plan on getting a large aquaculture system that will be separate from the 565 gallon system. I also have built my own lights for an experimental Acro tank to test out some theories. It is running but without corals. So by the end of 2019 I am hoping to have some nice mini colonies. Planning on adding 5-10 of the hottest Acros to the system. Also constantly upgrading my system for more reliability and ease of operation. So by the end of 2019: 1,000 gallons total. And my LLC will turn a profit for Q4 2019.

Might get an Apex. I've gotten things stable (finally!) so I don't want to mess with anything.

My 120 freshwater tank, on the other hand... ( hey @admim this community is awesome, any chance we could get a freshwater forum? I haven't been able to find a good freshwater community)

ADD CORALS!!!!!!

Tank got started in early 2018.

All fish stocked a few corals and stuff from friends and some held corals from my last tank.

Much was added to early IMO but I didn’t have much of a choice.

Now I have waited patiently for the tank to mature and stabilize.

Now, it it’s time!

So what are your reefing plans for 2019?

Untitled-1.jpg

Just closed on a house and purchased a 120g tank. I already had a mixed reef in my 90g and transferred everything into the bigger tank. Id like to go sps which means removing all the softies and nems. So plans are to transition from a mix to mostly sps. Wish me luck!
