You have a really nice tank! What happened to your leds when you had to repair them? and have you upgraded your powerheads yet? They always say with sump/fuges the bigger the better!

Upgraded the return pump to a mag 7. And currently running a knock off korallia. I ordered one of the Jebo pumps which should really get things moving in there. As for the LEDs the driver just went bad, but they place I ordered from was fast and super nice about repairing it. So the LEDs are back and kicking. The new sump is crystal clear and a beauty.

Kingofpain- the tank is made by deep blue. It's the 80 gallon edge, they also make it with a rim. They also make an even shallower 60 gallon version.

Anyone have tips on iPhone photography. Or shooting with LEDs in general. Also how big of an impact do you think a reactor would have on the system.

No tip on the led photography but a reactor can be a blessing or a curse . U just have to be careful with the media . Some leach phos like a champ causing brown outs , low ph n such .
If the tank has been running a while and the demand is there , Some will say they don't know why they never used one in the first place . I have a reef buddy that used two part and could not grow coral in a 180.
He added a reactor and everything took off . He had to fight algae with GFO n tangs n CUC's . Last time I visited him he had a deep water the size of a dinner plate and a soli about the same size.

I'm talking a carbon reactor. Being a mixed reef I think it will help fight off "chemical warfare" my phosphates are less than .2 all the time so I don't think that's an issue so no GFO planned. And I add kalk to maintain alk. So maybe kalkwasser reactor.

Bump on reactor questions? What's your view on kalk and carbon reactors. On another note trades one corals today. Got some blue tort, WWC Pandoras, and some sort of green palys with white speckles. Will post pics tomorrow after they settle in.

As well as the fact I'm start to build a frag tank. Should I post that here or start a new thread.?

Things seem okay for the moment. But my assumption is they can always be better. I run carbon in a filter bag sitting in the sump. A carbon reactor doesn't seem like to large of an investment if it'll A. Make my water crystal clear (it's pretty close now. Not really an issue) and B. I have sic a variety of corals and here of "chemical warfare" I'd like to prevent that the best I can.)

As for a kalk reactor the more I get into sps and as my tank gets a larger load of corals would it be a good alternative to manually dosing? I don't here about to many people that run one.

I got these as "fairy dust" I believe they are very similar to WWC Pandoras.

I don't even know what kind of coral this is. Haha. I'm thinking chalice but who knows.

Does anyone know what the green coral is here in this pic. This was taken at sea world. But I want it.

Just a pic of my tank from the beginning. Come a long way. Still sort of miss the sweet aquascape.
