I have 2 sets of green zoas that are slowly losing color over the last 4 months. Everything else seems to be good and growing. Any ideas?

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

My first thoughts would be lighting and nitrates. What fixture are you using? What level are you keeping your nitrates at?

It might help to know which species of corals do you have that are doing well?

And lets get some more eyes on this. #reefsquad

i was hoping you distrubing the sand would release some PO4,,and your zoas should of colored up.maybe more detrius needed disturb or time for corals to color up..odds will have it that you need to dose NO3 and Po4,,i really dont suggest dosing a PO4 additive from my bad experiences in the past when I did it,,,now I just use 2 cubes of frozen rotifers to feed once a week to get more than enough P04 in my 250 gallon system..I like to keep my No3 at 10-15,,plus trying to get that higher now gradually
