...missing here and I need to figure this out before I flush anymore fish and money down the toilet. This is killing me. Are there any super cheap fish I can get for testing purposes to try to see what exactly could be doing this?
Should I just burn the tank and start a brand new one...
...active but my stomach dropped seeing this today. Please any insight would be great. Last fish addition 4 weeks ago and were QT'd from vendor.
Is this something sinister like velvet or less concerning mucus plugs or flukes? @Jay Hemdal #fishmedics #fishmedic...
...from a number of tests to confirm. Ammonia badges good, pH, nitrite, nitrate and phos all look good. All of a sudden in the fish just started dropping and were found dead with mostly mouths wide open. I don't know what I am missing here, but something definitely is not right!

...body off the glass bottom of the tank. So here we go with another prazi dose and turned on the bubbles. I can still see him struggling a bit in there. I'm thinking maybe it's not flukes and maybe he needs to go into some copper. Here are some just terrible pix of the ones I lost.

...about my business.
10/17 night was when I noticed they did not eat anything and were breathing heavy.
10/19 pulled the trigger and put her in the other QT (sidenote: She and everyone else in that tank are doing just fine)
10/20 night I dosed the Prazi
10/21 night - lost both tangs...
Purple started going downhill as well. He was laying on his side same as the sailfin. In a last gasp effort I moved him into a bucket with a powerhead and airstone. Hoping something is just off with the tank and that getting him out might help because I'm out of ideas.

...really hoped to see improvement, but it's not looking great. Sailfin is showing a bit more pink/red in areas. Is there anything else that I could possibly do for them? I tried feeding a little brine but still no interest. He's a fighter but i just wish I could help this poor guy...
...black bucket. Hard to tell but i think i can see some small white spots in there. I did notice right before the fw dip the sailfin was bucking a bit and breathing very weird and jerky. In the FW dip the purple was really going nuts and jerking around.
Here's video and some pix...
...on here the following method to try...
1. Decrease the temperature to 72F for most tropical fish.
2. Decrease the salinity to 1.017 or lower
3. Increase the oxygen saturation to greater than 150% by the addition of pure O2.
4. Turn the lights off
Any of this sound worth trying??

...a lot of his color. The trigger seems ok I guess... she goes up near the top quite a bit though. Oh and the tangs are not eating as viciously as before... or really at all. No pellets, no green or purple seaweed. It's weird and happened very suddenly after the loss of the angels.

...too. Wrasses stay where they are because that is where the container of sand is.
As for the big tank... it's mostly cleaned out. I cannot find the pistol shrimp. He may or may not be alive in there. I cranked the heat up to 86. Tomorrow I'm hooking up UV. It's bug killing time...
...copper power. I was watching a BRS video on treating ich and they mention Nitrofurazone OR API Furan-2. What are your thoughts on that? Also should I being doing anything else other than copper power and feeding as usual? Any recommended additives for food any particular food?

...and 2 dottybacks. I think I'm going to just take out the rocks and drain some water so they have no where to hide. Everyone in QT looks to be responding well so wish me luck that I have no more losses over the next 6 weeks while working to reset my 4 month old DT back to being clean...
So... This would be my first time with ich. Does it clear up very fast (visually) with copper power? I dosed 1.25ppm last night and 1.25ppm this afternoon to get to 2.5. Look at the difference in the Sailfin.
Before...
and AFTER!
Thoughts?

...else you can recommend would be awesome.
And in case I have not said it before... thank you guys... honestly... for everything. If not for your help and positive support I would have packed it in by now. I'm in this for the long haul. I want to grow old with my fishies, lol.

...him out, dipped him and moved him to my observation tank. I don't think he is going to make it. Tilefish looks fine and is eating fine. The water, however, is looking pretty yellow and cloudy.
How long should i continue the mixture and should i do a water change at some point?

...found a body - my royal gramma. All that being said, everyone is eating, no one acting particularly strange except maybe the whitetail, but he's always hiding. I'll throw up the gramma picture here and then upload some videos with the flashlight shining instead of the tank lights.

...out from day one. I just turned on the lights for a few minutes today to check things out and saw my sailfin looking dusty so i started checking everyone. I noticed the cleaner wrasse as been spending a lot more time around the tangs lately so I got suspicious. Here are some pix
