If you are like me and like to have rock and corals close to the acrylic or glass, or you have a small tank this may be something for you.
Convert a Mag Float to a Mag Slim.
Some advantages are:
1) Fits within 1/2" between rock or coral
2) Does not push too much water
3) Easier to use.

Cut the floats, fill with colored epoxy (I use this one for years underwater) that simple

Very nice could sure use this in some spaces. I have a old one laying around and I know where my tool's are since 3twinklets is not around lol so I think I might try this, another good one from frankenstien good looking out and great idea

Great idea! Real estate inside a tank is at premium no matter how large of a system you have. I wonder why they didn't just design them like this in the first place?!?

Great idea! Real estate inside a tank is at premium no matter how large of a system you have. I wonder why they didn't just design them like this in the first place?!?
The original design is so that they float, but if it drops by accident i will just pick it up from the bottom :)

I made mine last night.
I didn't have any epoxy lying around so I used silicone. Anyone think of any problems I may have with this?
Its still outside the tank now

I had extra epoxy and used it, added blue pigment just to make it look nicer, otherwise i also would use silicone :) post a photo if you like.
