Scientific Name - Ginglymostoma cirratum

Common Name - Nurse Shark

Size - 14.1 ft. (4.3m)

Min. Aquarium Size - 1,000 US Gal. ( 3, 785 l)

Foods and Feeding - Pieces of fresh shrimp, scallops, marine fish flesh. Feed to satiation 2 times a week.

Reef Compatibility - No. Eats crustaceans, small fishes, tends to topple corals and rock work not secured.

Captive Care - Can grow 7.5 inches (19 cm) a year in captivity, a voracious feeder consuming all that is offered making it hard for tank mates to feed adequately such as other Sharks, Rays, and bottom feeders.
