I am starting a new 25G peninsula reef tank from Waterbox.
I think I'm done with my rockwork, but at times I feel like it looks bad. The two main pieces can be separated if I want to put some space in between. I plan on adding a lot of coral.
I attached photos of all 3 sides: left side...
I tried the trick of dividing the tank into thirds and came up with this. I really like the pillar looks.
Since I’m going bare bottom but I love the look of sand, I used Krylon Stone Texture spray paint under the tank to make a fake sand bed
Thoughts?
Howdy Reefers Wanted to share part two of my little aquascape and coral placement design series where I talk about how to add depth to your rockscape! Hopefully someone can find this info helpful in some way when making their scape even though my videos are pretty goofy.
It’s a super easy...
Hi all, I've been running this 20G Nuvo for around 5 months now and I initially designed the aquascape minimalistically. However as I buy more and more corals, I regret not putting more rocks to generate space for corals.
I was wondering if there is anything I can do to improve on my...
This is my first reef tank, I had a fowlr years ago and loved it but I was young and inexperienced and broke. I'm finally diving back in and would love some advice on what I have as an aquascape. Any improvements or ideas are welcome ( and I would love to hear if you just like it as well). I...
Sand bed depth seems to be a topic that breeds strong opinions and devoted followers of very different approaches as revealed in the following series of posts, among others.

However, does one approach...
Silly little video I made about thinking of aquascaping from a design perspective. Expanding on it more and different coral placement techniques in my upcoming content but just wanted to share :) I know my stuff is pretty goofy but hopefully it helps in some way!
Hey guys, I’m setting up a new 120 aqua Japan (4x2x2) aquarium in a week or two (waiting on the crate). In the meantime me and my girlfriend have been working on an aquascape and would love some feedback and opinions.
The floor space of the aquarium is around the same size as the black mat on...
Building a new aquascape in my 100g and I want to add a mushroom garden in the front low portion of the tank, my initial thoughts are to build marina type rock structure around them to minimize the flow on them. Looking for inspiration, ideas and pictures, please:)
So I have a JBJ45 that's been running for a little over 6 months now and trying to get ideas on corals and placements I can add on with. I'm wanting to add to my reef and honestly pretty open to ideas!
I'm planning for the bottom middle to have a clam, just waiting till I really felt...
So I built this scape and was really excited about it, because I wanted something tiered that was easy to put frags on.
Now that it is in the tank I'm worried about coverage and if the top tier is even usable because I'd say it's maybe 9" to 6" at tallest point below water line.
My original...
Introduced to R2R at Reef Stock Denver. Had a 100g leak and my friend gave me a 130g for $free.99. Thanks Brian! Just resealed and plumbed. Considering auqascaping options. I like the elevated tree like look.
Hello! As I make my first post here, I am also patiently waiting for my new Waterbox 130.4 (48”x24”x22”) to arrive next month. Before I mortar my MarcoRocks aquascape, any thoughts, comments, or opinions would be greatly appreciated! Highest shelf is 12” high. Thanks!
Hello! As I wait for my first saltwater tank to arrive (Waterbox 130.4), this is my first post on this forum. Any thoughts, opinions, suggestions, regarding my Marcorocks aquascape before I mortar would be greatly appreciated!
Hello all!
I started a new tank build yesterday on a 65 gallon tank with a 20 gallon sump. I’ll update as I go, but here are the pictures so far.
So fricken excited!!
I’ve rearranged my aquascape a few times already. I never seem to be happy with the way it looks. Now I’m curious to see how anyone else’s may look! Please share how yours looks and the inspiration behind it!
Hey guys, so I'm about to work on my second tank and could use some advice on dry rock. Personally, I prefer dry rock method. It's a little slower, but it avoids any unwanted pests, and since this is going to be a frag grow out tank, I'd like to avoid any possibility of pests or problems...
