Hi sorry for a totally newbie question but I purchased a full setup used that was meant to include live rock that had various corals attached. Sadly they broke the tank down a few days before delivering it to me so I am assuming all the corals died despite them saying they will “be fine in the...
Interested in hearing about any lessons your current/previous aquascapes have taught you, or what you would change if you could go back in time!
I’ll start—
My 40g is my second tank and first true aquascaping attempt (pile of live rock in first build). With this scape, I grossly...
This method of aquascaping has to be my all time fave way to scape a solid NSA dry rock scape.
Hit me up if you have questions or need help with your scaping plans. Always happy to help.

and here’s what it looks like with the corals i like that i kept from my waterbox 20 but i did it with snapchat so it’s kinda bad but anyways i’ll take any opinions on the...
Hey all. Looking for all feedback. I still have to glue and fill in the seams with rubble. But lookin for feedback. 100 gallon reef. Ignore all the BS in the background.
Hello,
I am new to reefing and being overwhelmed with the amount of info on which corals can sit next to which and what light and flow each need. Should have done a lot more thinking while I was building my scape.
I would like to have a mixed reef with softies, LPS, and eventually SPS. Here...
i’m getting a 75 gallon custom made. i really like sps tanks but everyone says less sand or no sand because it’s easier to clean. but at the same time i’m considering jawfish which need sand and i really like more "biology" in the tank. the scape will also be quite minimalist.
how can i...
I was messing with my aquascape and I was just wondering do soft corals, anemones, or any type of coral wedge themselves into the crevices of rocks to hold themselves in place resulting in side pressure causing the rocks to be dislodged or move apart?
So this is the 3rd time re aquascaping inside my tank. I can never get it to look good to me. I feel like giving up on my little friends :( This is so frustrating. I'm not going to give up as I know the effort is worth it. But what do you think? It's cloudy from trying to re aquascape for 3hrs...
Now I have just bought a marble/checkerboard wrasse about 3" long. I'm not sure if I have enough pods for him to munch on. Now, I have spionid worms in the sand that I think I've seen him peck at. Today is the 2nd or 3rd day I have him. I was wondering does the wrasse/.wrasses like to eat cerith...
A few days ago I just picked up my new IM 30G Long tank and have been thinking about the aquascape. Ever since I’ve seen the NSA video from BRStv I’ve been seriously considering doing this.
I figured with the dimensions and modern look of this tank, the NSA scape might suit it really well.
If...
Hi! This is a 20g IM nuvo fusion. Thoughts on this aquascape? The tank is just cycling now… so I feel like this is my last chance to adjust the rock. I still have a lot of extra rock to work with.
Are there adequate spots for corals?
Thanks!
I want to redo my aquascape but every time I situate it differently, I am just not happy with how it looks. Can anyone give me some advice or ideas? Thank you!
I’m a beginner in the saltwater community even, much less reef tanks. But what do you guys think of this aquascape with the rocks? Give me some honest feedback, thanks!
Hello, this is my first ever saltwater aquascape ever and I would like to hear some feedback and constructive criticism before cementing it. The cardboard layout has the dimensions of a 75 gallon tank which is what I am scaping for.
Hello reefers,
Currently have an old FOWLR tank I have had up for 2-3 years run off a Canister and am changing to a new tank with sump.
tank is a local British made Aqua Marin 900 which was a great price and I like the fact it has a ‘letterbox’ style weir, maximising space in the tank. And has...
A while ago I introduced myself and my builds and had a few people want to see the progress on my hexagon tank. I’m done moving states now and finally got around to setting it up. So here it is! Pvc base for the bonsai and covered with as many coral skeletons as I could find for a “natural”...
Hey everybody! Just got my new 30L in and setup!! I would say I have slightly more than beginner experience but not much more than that. I plan on having “easier” or “lower maintenance” corals for now probably softies and Lps until I get that sps itch ♂️ I’ll be asking plenty of newbie...
So.... I had a clownfish die about a month ago now. That was my first time keeping a fish, ever. I am fairly new to the hobby, and I am wondering my next steps are regarding a couple things in my 10g tank.
1. I hadn't had the chance to test my water up until recently, and my nitrite and...
This is my current aqua scape I’m looking at keeping for my tank. Tank will be mainly for 2 clowns, softies, maybe SPS down the track and definitely an anemone once the tank is mature. Anyone have any suggestions or improvements for what I’ve got currently?
Ignore the little coral skeleton at...
Hi,
I’ve been having trouble with deciding whether or not to redo my Fluval 13.5 aquascape. This has especially been in mind since my last water change, when my big structure tipped and now feels like an accident waiting to happen.
Here’s how it currently looks:
I’m conflicted, because I...
Alright reefers I need opinions on aquascape. I have a mix of tonga, figi and 2 others and 2 tanks to fit it. Only because I plan to set up a big build at the end of summer and want everything cured.
So I decided to do my best to keep rock together region wise. I've finished the Indonesian...
I'm playing around with ideas for a non-traditional aquascape. I want to put a sword or buddha or something in a reef tank. Hear me out. If I coated it in epoxy to seal it, then did a another layer of epoxy and dredged it in sand, would stuff grow on it?
Besides epoxy, what could seal it up...
