Hello!
I just purchased a waterbox marine 110! I am very excited as I am upgrading from a 30 gallon tank. Any pointers for set up with the water box tanks? Or any other recommendations on equipment that would be helpful for a larger tank size?
Over the next few months I'll be looking to revamp my tank from a boulder in an old braced freshwater tank to something a bit more inspired. Trying to strike a balance between novelty and practicality seems to be the biggest challenge. Nevertheless I'm wondering if anyone here has good examples...
Hello All,
My name is Mike, I'm here in California.....I chose the name FreshSaltyGuy because I've only ever ran Freshwater tanks successfully for the past 15 years. I started off with a 20 gallon, then 50 gallon is where I ended up which was plenty. I was able to breed lots of fish in my...
Hi - Just starting the hobby! There was a recommendation to get your aqua-scaping reviewed. I'm a few days into cycling and was wondering if there is too much dry rock in my Fluval Evo 13.5g. Any feedback would be great, thanks!
I am getting a royal gramma next week and want to build a cave out of rocks for it since I heard they like caves. Do they prefer caves with 1 opening, or a pass through kind with 2 openings? Also if anyone has any royal gramma observations about what kind of rockwork they like to hang out...
"Dueling Dragons Reef"
~240 Gallons of Water Volume
Experiment Time - We recently plumbed in 2x 40 gallon breeders to the system to expand the water volume and have a place to house any future inhabitants that don't work out in the main tank like non-reef-safe creatures / plants. I'm leaning...

I’m super happy!!! I found some pretty big stones at the top of a mountain and took them home for a 9-1 water-bleach soak before rinsing then soaking in our hard tap water. I know I can make these big butt stones into a beautiful hide/nest for some of my big Mbuna. I’m hoping the...
I have close to a couple hundred pounds of dry rock, half being Marco rock from BRS, another half being old fiji and pukani rock that’s been dry for years. I’m going to be aquascaping my 310g build in a couple weeks and want to give a quick rinse to the dry rock before going in the tank to...
Looking at my current rockscape, I've been thinking that my surface area for corals is really lacking which would severely limit corals to the top and the bottom right slope. To rectify this I was thinking about adding a rock on this corner leaning onto the corner of the glass (yellow circle)...
Although this isn’t a full build I thought I’d share my experience redoing a full aquascape in an established reef and share the awesome scape I got from Chandler Rocks.
I’ve had my Red Sea Reefer 350 for a few years now and gone through several iterations of aquascape. I always was satisfied...
I can’t seem to find a happy balance with my aquascape. I want to make sure my corals can have the room, flow, and lighting they deserve while keeping my critters happy. Here’s a video of my tank as of right now
Hi all,
Just started making my first aquascape with Caribsea Life Rock mixed shapes and base rocks. The tank I'm going to use is a redsea reefer 200L G2 (cube).
The sandbed will be 1 inch. Im mixing Caribsea ARAG-ALIVE special grade with their OceanDirect sand.
Any thoughts on this? I'm...

Opinions on my 100gal reef aquarium? 5 years old and am starting to fill it out more with frags and start really populating it. Wanted some opinions on if I should move some stuff around or change the aquascape at all. Thanks guys & gals. No wavemaker only flow is coming from the 4 top off pipes...
AquaForest StoneFix (other brand cement not available in my country).
Would like to know anyone that using this cement for their aquascaping, and how long its been underwater ? Since im building large system, i am expecting that aquascape to hold at least 3-5years without falling apart...
Hey everyone,
the first tank is a 120g/500L (4x2x2ft)/(130x60x60cm). Currently there are living a bunch of hermits, snails, a sanddollar, a tuxedo urchin (iirc) and 4 fishes in there: A dwarf zebra lionfish, a chelom butterfly, a tomini tang and a large melanurus wrasse. The box is for the...
Hi all,
I will have a 100cm x 30cm x 40cm narrow tank under construction now. I am thinking to make lagoon style softie tank. Any idea on the aquascape? 2 islands? Thank you.
Happy reefing,
Kevin
This part of the journey has been the bane of my existence. I got into a 50g because I was so frustrated with attempting the aquascaping on a 20g AIO that I upgraded thinking it would be easier... Imagine that lol
So, onto the rock circus. This is my first attempt so far, wanted to do a few...
Hey all. I about 8 months ago I broke down my 90 gallon reef due to aptasia running rampid and started up a small Aqueon frameless cube with homemade rock scaping. It is ok but I feel like I was missing something. I remembered I have been trying to sell my old 40 breeder tank with DIY stand but...
Wondering if any zebra moray owners could advise on if the overhang I have in my scape would be sufficient for a zebra. The tank is a cade 2100 1000ltr system volume.
The overhang measures 23" long by 11" deep. And about 2.5-3" of clearance.
*first photo was original scape, I've extended the...
