Hi guys,
I am about to get my first soft coral and have decided i want to have GSP covering the back of my tank.
For you folks this is probably a ridiculous question but whats the best way to get it to grow on the back? Do i sit the frag plug on a piece of rock toughing the back of the glass...
I am trying to think of ways I might better control the growth of my GSP as I would rather not have to take apart rock work to trim back.
It is basically what's preventing me from aquascaping.
Also trying to think of ways to handle it growing down off the rocks and onto the bottom of my bare...
Today i noticed my gsp frag looked a little different (lights are off and gsp was closed up at the time the picture was taken). There seems to be some red stuff growing over/on the gsp frag, and little red strings are hanging off it. Is this a fungus? Is this normal? Not sure what to make of it...
Like many new reefers I bought an aggressive coral that got out of control. In my case it was a branching form of GSP. I still love the look but it spread too far. I fragged some and I'm going to try to "carpet" the back wall of the tank. But that left me with a lot of leftover.
I spent about...
I got a small piece of gsp for free when I bought a clownfish, and it is not attached to anything. I put it in a bowl-shaped rock so it would attach, but so far it hasn't done anything but blow around. Is there a way I can attach the gsp chunk without hurting the coral?
I bought this coral about a month ago, and I was told it was green star polyps, but now I'm not so sure. Can someone give me a definite answer? Thanks!
Hello guys, how is it going? I’ve added this GSP coral to my tank 2 weeks ago, and I’m very happy with it. I love how it glows under the blue light. And I’m wondering what should I add next? I’m afraid of zoas, because they are toxic, and I’m not sure about pulsing xenias because they don’t glow...
Hello guys! So I’ve just added my first coral to my 30 gallon tank. It’s a GSP, Green star polyp. I did a 5 minutes dip Reef Primer shot, then remove it from the frag base and added it to the thank. But I’m worried, it’s all contracted and I’m afraid I’m might have killed it. Also I think I see...
