Hello First post is this normal on a hammer?

So I’m recently returning to the reef tank world after a 15 year break. I’ve been a fan of R2R for months now and have just been hesitant to make an account for what ever reason until now. Saltwater is not new to me but keeping corals is, since I previously only kept anemones. I love the way the...

    Blown Algae on Monti???

Hey guys, I've noticed this brown film type thing growing on my Northern Lights montipora. Wondering if anyone could ID this and tell me if there's any way to treat it. It doesn't seem to be spreading terribly fast and the coral doesn't seem too affected. Its polyps are still out and there is...

Anemones? help me ID these guys on TBS Live Rock?

Are these tiny anemones? EAch about 1/2 cm to 1 cm, looks like tentacles around a central base/mouth? Haven't seen them move, and don't think they look like the aiptasia I've seen (they don't have a stalk -- just tentacles & base). they're clear with sort of white speckling. Hope that makes...

    Help ID Snail -- Whelk?

I have found several of these snails in my TBS live rock shipment -- from 1/2 cm to 1 cm maybe? These are whelks, because of the "trunk," right? As in BAD snails to remove since they can harm other crustacean shells? Thank you!
