So I noticed a new slug/snail in my tank that I most certainly have never seen. I haven't bought any new coral or rock in the past few months so I was surprised to see this. It almost looked like it could be a baby forming it's shell but I've never seen a baby snail so I have no clue. Any help...
Hello,
This fish is around 3/4", I want to know what kind is it. Is Mocha storm, Juvenile Black storm or something else? I thought it is a mocha storm till I read that juvenile black storm are mocha colored and they darken as they get older.
Thanks,
Good afternoon all,
I am on the downhill side of a ********’ fight with bryopsis (fluco ftw), and noticed some tubes on some frags now that they are not covered in algae. I am reading a lot of conflicting info, so hoping someone could give me a definite ID, so I can treat accordingly if needed...
I got this from a janky coral selection at my lfs for $10 thinking it was a cool cyohastrea with some potential. Now that it's recovered a bit, I'm noticing the polyps are stacked pretty neatly with some decent PE, I no longer think I got a cyphastrea, but a goni on death's door? It's been in my...
After searching for copepods that resemble the ones in my tank, I am not coming up with any results or similar matches.
Does anyone recognize the order/family/genus/species of copepods in the following pictures (encircled in orange)? I am pretty sure they are some type of copepod, but not sure...
Found this amazing little dude earlier, ive got a stomatella and this isnt him for sure. He isnt a lettuce as far as i know. Who may he be? Hes a very pleasant guest to have, hes caused no trouble and is quite the looker. Friendly and clean, i rate him a 10/10. Where can i get another?

Some of you may have seen my post about a month ago on wanting to grow bubble algae as my moms Christmas present. Well I did it, and this is the build thread for that tank...
I have no idea what this is on my shrimp, it almost looks like dirt. At first I just thought maybe it was something he ate but it’s been 3 days since I first noticed it and after looking closely i could tell it’s on the outside of the shrimp not the inside.
Hey Reef Gang,
I am new to the salt water game coming from freshwater. I am starting with a Red Sea Max Nano. 20lb Carib sea life rock, 10 pounds Fiji pink, 660gph wave maker, running skimmer 24/7 with filter sock, bunch of marine pure bio balls, red sea carbon, Red Sea coral salt pro, tank...
Hello from me!
I am preparing a small video on corals and I need to identify this coral as soon as possible.
I know it is fluorescent and it exists on the great barrier reef. It looks like it is glowing red. Does anyone know how it is called?
Many thanks in advance, Anastasia
Hey guys, pretty new to reefing but I have an Semi established tank, I think it’s been like 4-5 months since I started with Tampa Bay live rock. But I looked at the glass today and saw something hatching? I didn’t see these eggs yesterday or last night but there seems to be little “sprouts”...
Pics attached .. I think it might be a mermaids cup ... but I’m not sure , there’s a lot of different species of macro algae so it is hard to identify but would love the R2R help on this one ! Thanks in advance Description : small water lily type pads growing off live rock in algae .
I saw it at the fish store and forgot to take a picture of it’s name. The bottom fins behaved like legs and it was using them to “walk” on the sand. It was so cool. Can anyone ID this fish for me?
There are about 6 of these snails in the bag with our new Toadstool Leather. They look like mini turbo snails, but we aren’t sure...anyone know? Should I put them in the tank or no?
Does anyone know what this mushroom is or seen one similar? It’s got a green skirt with a pinkish red middle and hopefully some white bounces???

I need help identifying some hitchhikers!
There are at least 4 of these snail looking things on one rock. They are attached to the rock and release some sort of thread out into the water, and then pull it back in. The shells are white and pink, the animal is red and white.
Had some red algae pop up maybe a year after I bought a small piece of live rock. Have seen similar different species in ID threads but unsure. I think it's attractive and would like to keep it, just want to make sure it's not invasive or problematic in any other way. So far so good hasn't...
Hi.
I just posted a long story and why I wanted to know about this coral but it didn’t seem to post. So this is much shorter.
please please please
Help me to identify this coral!
I think it might be rare since it is a green “possible” ACAN and those are hard to find. This is like a dice with...
