Are you properly calibrating your refractometer? Lot of people just use RO/DI water which will read 0..however your not going to get the the most accurate results. the next batch of people will use proper 35ppt/1.026 calibration solution which gets you closer.. but ar you taking into account...- shiftline

Refractometer Reading?
I got my refractometer from BRS the other day and noticed that it's blue line doesn't seem straight across. For example, I have it perfectly set at 35 ppm on the right side, but my salinity on the left reads like 1.027 or 26. Saliny low and it's Christmas Eve!

What do you think about inexpensive Salinity Refractometers?
