I ordered “bergiah” early this year With hopes of starting a nudibranch culture to deal with aptasia.

I decided to order a pair from 3 different vendors in order to diversify my genetics. I believe I received 3 entirely different species. It seems one group was truly berghia, but I can’t seem to find anything that looks like the others online.

All species were eating aptasia however The 2 Odd species Seem to prefer Chaetomorpha.

I have a 10-Gallon tank setup with a bubble filter for each species, and they have all been reproducing like crazy!

I have included a couple pictures (sorry for the poor quality) showing the slugs next to their eggs. Both species look similar but have different eggs and slightly different coloration, as well as different numbers of “frills” (no idea what they are called) on their backs.

What do you guys think? Any information on these (or similar) slugs would be greatly appreciated!

If the nudi's were consuming chaeto then they were definitely not Aeolidiella stephanieae which only eat aiptasia and were the original Berghia verrucicornus (until renamed in 2005 but no one seems to have noticed lol). Some Berghia seem to consume aiptasia but outside of Aeolidiella stephanieae they may not be limited to aiptasia. Berghia coerulescens for instance eats aiptasia and sagartia anemonies. Berghia norvegica eat Gonactinia prolifera anemonies. Many Berghia they have no idea what they eat.

I know squat about this but I googled it all because I was bored and to give your thread a bump, lol.
