@GAREEF , didnt want to rain on the mariner of the month thread, but let me tell you a story of a redneck polar plunge. We have a swimming hole down here, about the 1/2 the size of an Olympic swimming pool, creek fed with a rope swing. Back in the mid 80's my buddy and I decided to swim it one winter. The water was probably in the 40's and it was 30 deg outside. Our girl friends came with us, we stripped down gave our cloths to our ladies and dove in. It was like getting hit by a truck, we swam to the other side and headed to the car that was running with the heater on. I will tell you this, we were in the early stages of hypothermia. My hands were curling up and I was completely numb. the girls hopped in the back and me and my buddy were in the front trying not to die. We were shaking too badly to utter the words "bad mistake". The girls were in the back arguing at this point, then the burning sensation started to over take my body and the shivering was causing me and my buddy to sing some amazon rain forest tribe songs. The whole deal was a mistake, for us, the girls were no longer friends because my buddies girl friend ticked my girlfriend off because she kept staring at me when we stripped down, the plus side is I don't have any desire for polar plunging.

I do think my turbo snails are dying sadley. What should I do?
Be patient just let them be and do their thing.
Takes a bit for them to get established.
Don't mess with them.
Nothing will happen overnight.

no school. and no snow yet. :face-with-rolling-eyes:
4" over 8 hours is brutal here. must be southern school board influence.
Same thing happened here. No snow when they canceled. But we are getting a few inches, and then in the afternoon we're getting a bunch of freezing rain.

I meant lost from the thread lol
Adventuring in Smorgsville can lead to a Smorgy addiction of going down Smrabbit holes of smorgslishis looking corals.
Be careful to much time on Smorgvilliishis can rot your brain. Sometimes you need to take a break but the best thing about Smorgville is there are always Smorgs waiting for you when you come back.
Smorgville is so amazing oh my gosh beee gosh

So I'm in a group on Facebook and they are having a pico build contest. They haven't announced the prize yet and would like people to use things that aren't actual aquariums like vases and such. I am thinking about trying it with a glass container I have that holds i think 2 maybe 3 gallons. My concern is it's round/cylinder shaped and I have no idea what you use for a filter. Any ideas or suggestions? The contest will run for 14 weeks.

I have one of those setup as a Betta tank.

It would be difficult to have one set up with most corals because flow would be very circular and not much randomness which most corals enjoy. However, I've seen it done. Mostly softies and one or two slow growing SPS frags way up in the tank.
