In my situation I tried a silicone pad under the pump helped a little but I still hear it it’s a hum from the pump itself I’ve had a ticket in with ecotech went through it took it apart made sure it was clean they eventually determined it to be “noise from head pressure” causing a strain the impeller even though I’m under the max head pressure but I have spoken to others with the vectra some seems like they all have a slight hum but my manifold s1 is virtually silent

Some pumps run loud. I bet there's either to much of a gap or too small of a gap in the motor housing or a slight imperfection in the impeller itself creating a minor wobble.

Funny I am dealing with same issue with my vectra my solution is hopefully hose barbs and a section of Silicone tubing 8”-1’ to isolate vibrations causing hum in the pvc BRS wants 10$ for a 1ft piece sounds crazy but I was at the plumbing supply house for work this morning they don’t have the tubing but suggested a brewery suply in town on my way end of today let you know if this works

I thought the spa flex would be enough. It did help a lot but when I **** the pump off for feedings I'm like "oh.... that's louder than I thought" haha

What's causing the vibration? Mine usually cause noisy vibration if they're up against the side of the sump. Maybe extending the piping just enough to apply a little pressure downward on the pump so the dampeners are able to dampen the sound would work? It may be that the pump is slightly "floating" and so the little rubber feet are allowing the vibration to transfer to the tubing or sump/stand?

Mines a massive pump, i think it's a 1hp motor? When I redo my fish room, my thoughts are:
1: try @Kingsley_Reef's idea with the silicone hose for a foot or 2
2: raise my secondary sump tank off the ground about 8" or so; and pour a decent sized block/pad with bolts in it to bolt my motor to
3: set said block/pad on some foam or rubber

My thoughts are, bolting the motor to the block should increase the motor mass, minimalizing vibrations, and the silicone hosing and foam pads should isolate the remaining vibrations from transferring to the house. Theoretically

I agree with setting the pump on some sort of padding.

I'm happy being tagged and retagging if I don't know :) When it comes to plumbing, I've been getting a crash course since recently switching from all AIOs to a sumped tank. I still prefer the AIO, but I can see the benefits of a sump...

A little Unagi sauce and topped with spicy tuna would help. I prefer the dragon rolls myself. A touch of wasabi mixed with some soy... oh boy!! My mouth is watering just thinking about it
